TEMPLE, Texas (Jan. 26, 2022) – Temple College has announced its honor lists for Fall 2021. More than 650 students were named to the President’s and Vice President’s honor lists.
To be named to the President’s Honor List, a student must take at least nine semester credit hours and earn at least a 4.0 grade point average.
To be named to the Vice President’s Honor List, a student must take at least nine semester credit hours and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average.Ever since he can remember, Philip Friedman wanted to be a chemistry teacher. He got his first taste of college chemistry classes when he attended Temple College as a student in the Texas Bioscience Institute Middle College program. Today, Friedman is back at Temple College teaching students in the same program.
Four Temple College students and two faculty members presented research at the 2020 Texas Academy of Science meeting in March.
Seven students from Temple College received Academic Student-Athlete Awards from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Two Temple College softball players have been named to 2019 NJCAA Division 1 Softball All-America teams.
Students from Temple College have been selected to perform with three different All-State music ensembles in 2019.
The Temple College softball team capped its 20th season in style by winning its first national championship.
Temple College has received a charter to have a chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta, the English honor society for two-year colleges. Seven faculty members and five students have been inducted into the chapter as founding members.
