Temple College will begin the search for its new president with a series of meetings for the public and the campus community the week of June 18.
The purpose of these meetings is to gather input about what the college should be looking for in its next president.
Meetings for the campus community will be held on the following dates and times:
Monday, June 18
1:30-2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 19
1:30-2:30 p.m. (also open to the public)
Wednesday, June 20
1:30-2:30 p.m.
Additional meetings for members of the public will be held on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, June 19
5-6 p.m.
Wednesday, June 20
5-6 p.m.
All the meetings will be held in Rooms 3413 and 3415 of the Academic Center. Parking is available in the North parking lot, which can be accessed from either 1st Street or 5th Street (See campus map at www.templejc.edu/about/campus-map).
Residents of East Williamson County who would like to participate in these meetings may do so in either Hutto or Taylor. In Hutto, the meetings will be livestreamed to Room A212 of the East Williamson County Higher Education Center-Hutto, which is located at 1600 Innovation Blvd. In Taylor, the meetings will be livestreamed to Room 122 of the East Williamson County Higher Education Center-Taylor, which is located at 516 N. Main St.
The meetings will be led by a representative from Gold Hill Associates, a search firm the Temple College Board of Trustees has hired to lead the search for the college’s next president.
Temple College President Dr. Glenda O. Barron has announced plans to retire from the college Dec. 31, 2018. She has been president of Temple College since July 2008.
