Temple College Vocal Point will perform its “TC Musical Theatre Showcase” at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre located in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.
Students will bring to life highlighted music and scenes from the Broadway show “The Music Man.” Students will also preview scenes and songs from “The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson the Musical,” which will be the highlighted Temple College musical for Spring 2023.
Vocal Point ensemble members consist of Temple College musical theatre majors and vocal music majors. Fall members are: Erica Aguillon, Hayley Cavazos, Cameron Caple, Maddie Clark, Andrew Cloe, Ruth Feliciano, Jesus Garcia, Jarrod Hodgson, Layla Janicek, Noah Marshall, DeLisa McClennon, J. Nevarez-Ocasio, Leticia Rangel, Caleb Rinehart, Marisela Valerio and Jayla Ward.
Vocal Point is under the direction of Priscilla Santana, music department chair, and accompanied by pianist, David Perez-Guerra, percussionist Aidan Amling and guitarist Spencer Messerich.
The concert is free and open to the public.
