Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Working directly with Kindergarten through Eighth-grade students to improve their reading and math proficiency skills. Perform one-on-one work with individual students, small workgroups, and/or class activities. Collaborate with teachers, and after-school program coordinators to assess students’ needs. Submit timesheets for tutors. Duties may vary depending on the needs of the department The Family Literacy Program Aide position encompasses a variety of fun and engaging tasks that will support the optimal development of disadvantaged young children through the gift of the love of reading.

Community Service project is designed to improve the quality of life for community residents in local nonprofit, governmental, and community-based organizations.

Possess a Texas driver’s license and excellent driving record, show enthusiasm and commitment to children’s literacy, show excellent spoken and written communication skills, Work in a team environment; be punctual, reliable and cooperative
